Physical Pieces

These are two floats I designed for parades in Eaton Rapids. The top float was for the 2011 4th of July parade. It was close to 20 feet long and over 9 feet wide. The giant hand sanitizer shot out bubbles. Kids thought it was pretty cool.

The bottom float was for the 2011 Holiday Parade in Eaton Rapids. It was constructed in three parts, each part being just a touch over 8 feet long. The float rolled on heavy casters and was human powered.

Above and below are photos of a prop that I made for an event at the zoo. It was based off of the cottage in Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs. It stood about 12 feet tall at the peak and was about 16 feet long. It did not have a straight line in the whole structure, intentionally. If you look closely you will see that every wall bows out. It also had an authentic thatch roof.

Below is a photo of a coin collector that had four different slots which was used in a naming contest. It was made from some PVC pipe and recycled wood.

Below is a small float that was used in two local holiday parades. It was about 8 feet long and 8 feet wide but stood a touch over twelve feet high. It was made from mostly plywood.

Below is another prop made for a fundraising event for Binder Park Zoo. The majority of the materials used are repurposed from scraps left over from construction projects. As you can see, it was quite large and required two skid steers to move. With this prop, as well as the cottage above, I designed and was the primary builder throughout the project.
